What is Lent?
Lent is a time of preparation. This 40-day journey of prayer, fasting and almsgiving, beginning on Ash Wednesday, helps us encounter ourselves, our neighbor and our God anew.
PRAYER: Deepens our relationship with Christ and helps us reflect on our lives.
FASTING: Removes obstacles between us and God.
GIVING: Helps us serve those in need and live Jesus' message of love.
That means supporting important projects like One 'Ohana: Food and Housing for All.

What is CRS Rice Bowl?
For more than 40 years, CRS Rice Bowl has been Catholic Relief Services' Lenten faith-in-action program for families and faith communities. Through CRS Rice Bowl, we hear stories from our brothers and sisters around the world, reflect on our own lives and faith, and devote our Lenten prayers, fasting and almsgiving to transform the lives of those in need.
